The pole, like the rest of the metal, has held up well and hasn't rusted or chipped.
The backboard is still clear and, while a little dirty, is in no way scratched or messed up. It's held up better than I could have imagined. Every day, a large number of teenagers have played on this. I'm updating my review after using it for over a year. This is something that I would strongly advise anyone to try. The most difficult part was digging the hole, but the kids (ages 18 to 18) did a fantastic job. Every day, my seven children, as well as the children of my neighbors, play on it. This worked perfectly after I installed it according to the instructions.

At full price, however, you should look for a pole with a two-piece construction, or one that is of slightly higher quality or thickness. br>br>Bottom Line:br>If you get this hoop on sale like I did, it's a relatively good value. because of the pole's construction and how it connects to the backboard, especially when playing and banging a shot off the rim The instructions also warn against dunking, and given the hoop's lack of rigidity, as well as the bracket arms and pole's lack of sturdiness, I'd heed that warning. Because everything had already been installed and cemented in before we noticed it, I didn't contact the company.
It was obvious that this was caused by the brace arms' hangers being welded slightly off center. br>- After installing the backboard and aligning all poles according to the instructions, the backboard was noticeably off center and slanted to the right. As you might expect, the second piece is the least stable, and the third (too) piece is the least stable, as is the case with the part to which the backboard connects. The bottom piece is very stable because it is supported by cement, but the following pieces are held in place by six bolts.
I had no idea how much less stable this three-piece pole was than the two-piece poles I had previously used. Hopefully, this will continue to be the case in the future. br>- Although it is still new, the mechanism for raising and lowering the hoops is extremely smooth. I've put up a few hoops with friends, and this was one of the easiest, if not the easiest, in-ground hoops to put up. The instructions are excellent, and all of the parts are well-packaged and identifiable. With the exception of the logo, the hoop received looked exactly like the photos. When we received the item, it was labeled with a different brand name, but when we contacted the company, we were informed that it was the same hoop, just labeled differently.
